Argo Aviation International have an exceptional opportunity for a highly-motivated career focused and ambitious Centre of Excellence Controller seeking a role in a challenging, fast-paced and rewarding environment.

The Role  

The primary purpose of this role is to provide an improved customer experience by introducing a single point of contact for managing communications across the network, enhancing AOG management and strengthening the company’s strategic position within the aviation market by offering a premium MRO service.  

Other Duties Involve  

  • Providing a bespoke solution to a customer’s AOG occurrence
  • Producing AOG recovery plans detailing the recovery timeline, estimated serviceability date/time and allocated resources
  • Managing AOG events globally, providing support to ensure safe, efficient and effective recovery to minimise impact for customers
  • Maintaining a dynamic feedback loop to ensure timely, regular and accurate communication to all internal and external key stakeholders  
  • Assisting the Operations Manager with the daily operation of the Centre of Excellence department and supporting the day-to-day operation  
  • Ensuring standard operating procedures are complied with and maintained through an AOG recovery  
  • Recording of cost expenditure during the AOG recovery for invoicing to the customer  
  • In order to be successful in this role the Centre of Excellence Controller will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes  
  • A recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry or university degree relevant to aircraft engineering or aviation management  
  • Qualified Part 66 Licence with a minimum of 5 years’ experience  
  • Technical experience in aviation  
  • Have a working good knowledge of aircraft systems  
  • Hold a valid UK Drivers Licence (the role may be required to travel to the AOG location to provide onsite management and support as required)  

This is a Permanent Position based in Gatwick.  

5/5/4 day shift pattern, working 07:00 – 19:00
