Our client is an EASA Part 145 Aircraft Maintenance Organization, providing support and services to Bombardier Aircraft Operators. We are recruiting for a permanent BASE MAINTENANCE MANAGER to be based in Cyprus.
Role Information – Base Maintenance Manager:
Job Title: Base Maintenance Manager

Shift Pattern & Working Hours: 5 working days out of 7 (Some weekend work may be required).

Summary of duties – Base Maintenance Manager:
- is responsible for the satisfactory completion and certification of all work required by contracted operators/customers in accordance with the work specification (Work Order and approved MOE procedures).
- is responsible for ensuring that the organisation’s procedures and standards are complied with when carrying out maintenance.
- is responsible for ensuring the competence of all personnel engaged in maintenance.
- is responsible for ensuring that all sub-contract orders are correctly detailed and that the requirements of the contract/order are fulfilled in respect of inspection and quality control.
- is responsible for providing feedback to the Quality System about the services provided by contracted Organisations, Subcontractors.
- is responsible for ensuring, through the workforce under his/her control, that the quality of workmanship in the final product is to a standard acceptable to the organisation and EASA.
- is responsible for the implementation of the safety policy and human factor issues.
- is responsible for availability of a working environment appropriate to the tasks being undertaken.
- is responsible for the incoming inspection of components, parts, materials, tools and equipment, the related classification, segregation and storage according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
- is responsible to develop a production planning system appropriate to the amount and complexity of the maintenance scope of work.
- is responsible for availability of tools, equipment and materials to perform the planned tasks.
- is responsible for availability of sufficient competent personnel to plan, perform, supervise, inspect and certify the work being performed.
- is responsible for availability of all necessary maintenance data as required by Part 145.A.45.
- is responsible to record and notify any inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous procedure, practice information or maintenance instruction contained in the maintenance data used by maintenance personnel to the author of maintenance data.
- is responsible to provide a common work card or worksheet system to be used throughout relevant parts of the organisation and ensure such documents comply with 145.A.45.(e).
- is responsible for notifying the Accountable Manager whenever deficiencies emerge which require his attention in respect of finance and the acceptability of standards (Accountable Manager and Quality Manager to be officially informed of any lack of 25% of available man-hours over a calendar month).
- is responsible for supplying the necessary technical documents for customers and storage of the organisation’s technical records.
In order to be successful in the role of Base Maintenance Manager you will need to demonstrate the following skills:
- Minimum four years’ experience in Base Maintenance Managers role with a proven track record.
- Must be a holder of an EASA Form 4, or can demonstrate his/her Aircraft Maintenance Management experience within an approved organization.
- Must be a holder of an EASA Part 66 Aircraft Engineer License
- Deep understanding of EASA Part-145 requirements and Human Factors.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Outstanding communication skills, coupled with flexibility and a solution-focused mind-set.
- Must have the right to work in Europe without restriction.
- Eligibility for an airside pass is essential.
- High motivation, exceptional teamwork and unwavering attention to detail are a must.
Requirements for the role: Training Certificates, Updated CV (preferably in Word format). You must have the Right to Work in the EU.
