Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced B1 Licensed Engineer to join our client’s line maintenance team. This role is responsible for ensuring airworthiness, safety, and compliance across a range of aircraft types, while supporting on-time performance and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will lead by example, uphold high technical standards, and contribute to the continuous development of the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and motivate the maintenance team, setting a strong example.
- Ensure all tooling, equipment, and facilities are maintained in a serviceable condition.
- Maintain compliance with company, regulatory, and customer requirements for aircraft/component inspections and documentation.
- Carry out and certify maintenance tasks in line with approved procedures and authorisations.
- Support on-time performance by maintaining airworthiness and high safety standards.
- Produce clear, accurate, and timely maintenance handovers.
- Ensure efficient use of manpower and resources to achieve maintenance objectives.
- Maintain up-to-date licence, qualifications, and authorisations as required.
- Support health, safety, and environmental compliance across the station.
- Foster effective communication with customers, MOC, and interfacing departments.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry or equivalent.
- UK CAA Part 66 B1 Licence with 6 months recency in the last 2 years on one or more of the following types:
- A320 (Cfm56, V2500, PW1100G (NEO)) – CAA
- A330 (Trent 700, Trent 7000 (NEO) – CAA
- A350 (Trent XFB) – CAA
- A380 (Trent 900, EA GP7200) – EASA
- B737 (Cfm56, Leap 1B) – CAA
- B777 (Trent 800, GE90) – EASA
- B787 (Trent 1000, Genx) – CAA/EASA
- Strong knowledge of line maintenance experience
- Hold a drivers license
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within line maintenance.
- Commercial awareness with ability to balance safety and efficiency.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working in a dynamic environment.
