Role information – B1 Licensed Engineer

Location: Gatwick

Type Rating: A320/A330/A350/A380/B737/B777/B787

Shift Pattern & Working Hours: 5/5/4 mixed shift pattern, working days 07:00 – 19:00 and nights 19:00 – 07:00

Summary of Duties – B1 Licensed Engineer

The primary purpose of this role is to carrying out certification of work carried out in accordance with the scope and privileges of the authorisation held.  

Other duties and responsibilities:          

• Supervising staff in conjunction with a Leading Mechanic, allocated to the aircraft or zone that the Certifying Engineer is accountable for  
• Ensuring that any significant findings that could affect the aircraft delivery are reported to the Shift Manager as soon as possible      
• Ensuring that work is carried out in the most efficient manner to ensure the aircraft turnaround times are met      
• Ensuring continuity of work by completing the handover log and being available to give a handover at the shift change      
• Ensuring spares are identified and provisioned in the most time efficient manner so as to avoid any delays in rectification      
• Maintaining an awareness of Human Factors and ensure Health and Safety standards are of the highest possible and in line with the Company Safety Manual      
• Raising safety reports are raised following any incidents or identification of any hazards      

In order to be successful in the role of the B1 Licensed Engineer you will need to demonstrate the following:

• UK CAA Part 66 B1 Licence      
• Type rated with at least 2 of the following aircraft types:  A320 (Cfm56, V2500, PW1100G (NEO)) – CAA A330 (Trent 700, Trent 7000 (NEO) – CAA A350 (Trent XFB) – CAA A380 (Trent 900, EA GP7200) – EASA B737 (Cfm56, Leap 1B) – CAA B777 (Trent 800, GE90) – EASA B787 (Trent 1000, Genx) – CAA/EASA
• Proven Experience: Line maintenance expertise on commercial aircraft
• UK driving License
