The Client:
Our client is a UK-based provider of line, light, and base maintenance services for commercial aircraft operators. They operate 24/7, offering AOG support, workshop facilities, aircraft modification programs, technical training, tooling hire, and component repair.
Part of a global aviation group, the company supports numerous airlines worldwide and operates from multiple UK airports, including Prestwick, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
About the Role:
The Mechanic will report to and work alongside the Leading Mechanic and Certifier on allocated zones/aircraft. This role is responsible for carrying out both routine and non-routine Line maintenance tasks in line with approved documentation, procedures, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete routine and non-routine maintenance tasks as directed using approved documentation and procedures.
- Observe and adhere to the company Tooling Policy at all times.
- Maintain awareness and ensure best practices are applied in Health & Safety and Human Factors.
- Complete all paperwork to required standards in line with company MOE.
- Maintain a clean and tidy personal work area, hangar bays, and facilities.
- Notify the company promptly of any significant findings.
- Raise safety reports upon identifying hazards or following incidents.
- Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by management.
Working Conditions:
- Based in a Line Station environment depending on operational requirements.
- Shift pattern 5-5-4 shift pattern – nights
- Occasional requirement to work outside standard hours due to operational needs.
Education & Qualifications:
- Recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry or similar.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven work history in a line maintenance environment.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to interpret technical publications.
- Experienced in completing wiring modifications primarily on the Airbus family of aircraft but Boeing aircraft would also be an asset.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative, and make timely, fact-based decisions.
- Flexible approach with ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Production Planning.
- High standard of English (written & spoken).
- Strong computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.

- Ability to uphold safety, compliance, and company standards at all times.
